Different Varieties Of Liposuction
All of these things and more can create the love handles, bulging bellies and thunder thighs that we all loathe. The most common areas to have lipo performed are the tummies, hips, bottoms, thighs, male chests if they’ve developed jiggly female-like breasts, and even around the facial region. Both men and women opt for this treatment to create a more slender and sleek appearance. There are several varieties of liposuction:
Classic Lipo
This procedure involves a physician making tiny incisions in the area sporting the bulges. He or she then inserts a slender wand-like device called a cannula into the openings. The cannula is attached to a vacuuming pump that suctions away the fat, also called adipose tissue. This technique is designed for sculpting away surface fat and giving the patient a sleeker look. After the operation, the patient will need to wear a compression garment to aid in healing.
Laser Known as Zerona
A Zerona laser uses cold energy to reduce the size of hips, thighs and waistline. The idea is that the device forces fat from the regions which then leads to a slimmer size. This forced out adipose is supposed to exit your body through the natural elimination process.
Cool Sculpting Technique
Another alternative to liposuction is one that freezes the bulges. The process is called cryolipolysis and the goal is eradication of fatty deposits by freezing them. It is supposed to be especially effective on back fat and that which has accumulated on the hips.
Laser Assisted & Tumescent Liposuction
Another variation of classic lipo is one which is assisted with a different kind of laser. In this procedure, the lasers break up the adipose so that it is more easily harvestable. This method is said to reduce downtime because it’s not as difficult to remove the fatty deposits. Tumescent procedures include injecting fluids into the region to make harvesting easier. The fluids have medications in them to kill pain and curtail excessive bleeding problems.
